Mrs. Tosha Swearingen
My name is Tosha Swearingen, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal at Rainbow Elementary School. It is truly an honor to be part of such a dedicated and passionate school community. I am committed to supporting our students, staff, and families as we continue to grow and achieve great things together at Rainbow.
My husband, Cyrus, and I have been married for 18 years. He shares my passion for education and currently serves as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Liberty Middle School. We have two wonderful sons, Riley and Parker. Riley will be a freshman at James Clemens High School, where he will be playing both basketball and football. Parker is a rising fifth grader who loves baseball. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being “Aunt Tosha,” traveling, serving in the nursery at my church, and getting lost in a good book.
I bring a diverse background in elementary education to Rainbow. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a kindergarten, first-grade, and fifth-grade teacher, experiences that allowed me to support students at multiple stages of their educational journey. I also served as a Reading Coach at Mill Creek Elementary and an Elementary Instruction Specialist at Madison City Schools’ Central Office, where I worked alongside educators to strengthen literacy instruction and support student achievement across all grade levels.
I believe that strong relationships and collaboration are the foundation of a successful school community. I am dedicated to partnering with teachers, staff, students, and families to ensure that every child receives a high-quality education and the support they need to thrive. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Rainbow community and help our students continue Launching Tomorrow’s Dreams.
It’s a great day to be a Rocket!
