My career began in Jackson, MS where I taught a 5th-grade self -contained class.  The following year I moved  to 6th grade.  I relocated home for a year to the MS Gulf Coast where I taught 5th grade Social Studies.  In 1992, my journey continued in Madison, AL where I taught 3rd grade at Madison Elementary.  I was excited to be a part of the opening of Rainbow Elementary in 2001 where I continue to teach 3rd grade!  My accomplishments include being an AL Math Science and Technology Institute trainer for the state of AL and a candidate of the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy.

My beginnings evolved on the MS Gulf Coast, in the quaint town of Moss Point, MS.  I resided in Jackson, MS for seven years where I attended college, and started my career.  During that time, my two sons were born, Ellis and Blake and my life changed forever.    My career continued when I relocated to Madison, AL in 1992.  My husband Ronald and I enjoy the peace and tranquility of being empty-nesters.  We share five adult kids between us.  The state of TX is big enough for four out of five of our children!  My hobbies are reading, frequenting various restaurants, traveling, and watching movies.  My passion is teaching, and the rewards are great!  Each day is a new adventure and a pot of gold usually awaits at the end of the Rainbow!
