I graduated from Ball State University in Muncie Indiana with a BS in Special Education for grades Pre-K-12th in 1988.  I then received a Master's Degree in Mild Learning Disabilities for grades Pre-K-12th from the University of Northern Alabama.

I have 16 years of teaching experience in special education from Madison City Schools. I also spent 10 years working part-time for Technology Assistance for Special Consumers (T.A.S.C.), a program of United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville & Tennessee Valley as Program Coordinator.

I have been working with individuals with disabilities and their families for 26 years.   I began my teaching career in Virginia and then moved to Huntsville to marry my husband Rob, who works for Adtran.   I spent 10 years in the Madison City School System and then went to part-time work to raise our three children.  I am excited to be able to use my technology skills in a classroom that has been outfitted for the 21st Century.
