Bob Jones and James Clemens high schools placed in the top five of Alabama high schools making the Washington Post’s annual Most Challenging High Schools list.
Bob Jones ranked 3rd and James Clemens 5th in this prestigious study of how successfully schools challenge their students.

The study ranks schools through an index formula using the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at a school each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated that year. A ratio of 1.000, for example, means the school had as many tests as graduates.

This is the second national study identifying both Madison City high schools among the best in Alabama.
U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings of the 22,0000 public high schools across the country placed Bob Jones and James Clemens in the top 10 in Alabama out of 127 that were ranked. See that report here: https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/alabama

The study looks at factors such as math and reading scores, college readiness, parity within various demographic groups and graduation rates.

Great job Bob Jones and James Clemens. Another affirmation that where one resides in Madison makes no difference in the quality of their schools.
